List of facilities associated with the Taj Ayurveda
Centre: Yoga and Meditation, Cultural activities on select days,
cookery demonstrations, 'Pathy' or wooden beds for Abhyanga or oil therapy,
steam chamber, private treatment rooms, trained male and female therapists,
swimming pool, Health club, lounge with a small library, and soothing
music during therapies.
The Taj Ayurveda Centre is centrally air-conditioned and fully equipped with qualified
doctors, trained therapists, and Yoga instructors. The facilities also include five
treatment rooms with provision for a guest room to accommodate patients who wish to
undertake treatments over a prolonged duration.
The Centre offers a doctor's room for consultation and check ups. Treatment rooms are also
well equipped with a Steam Chamber for herbal steam, prescribed by the doctor. The
"Avagaham tub" is a copper-bottomed tub in which patients suffering from backache,
spinal problems, fistula, or piles rest in warm herbal water. And for those who believe
in Hindu mythology, where an auspicious time to start one's treatment plays a pivotal role,
the Astrologer's room is nearby.
